This little box is a fancy set of on/off switches that are controlled from your computer or even from some communication devices.  By sending commands to the Serial-Box you open and close its relays, in other words you can turn things on and off.  For example, you could use your PC to activate a phone plugged into the Serial Box.

Our software allows you to easily add computer "macro" controls.  If you are using speech recognition you could add a voice command like "Answer The Phone" to activate your phone, and then hang up with another command like, "Hang Up The Phone."  You can also set up keyboard macros or icons that will do the same things.

Another use is to activate a remote control button for a door-opener, or to turn on a radio that doesn't have a remote control, in fact anything that has an on/off switch could be adapted for use by this little box. The Serial Box controls 3 ports, one is for a telephone, and two for custom switch controls using standard audio-jacks.
