The Hop-Switch uses infrared light to transmit the signals from up-to three switches wirelessly. You can use switches from on-board your wheelchair to operate stationary devices such as telephones, computers, door openers, or even switch operated games. Since the infrared transmitter is a "line-of-sight" signal, one transmitter box can be used with several receivers placed in different rooms or even in different buildings. In the same way, multiple users can operate the same device, each using their personal transmitters; this can be very useful in schools and clinics.

In other words, you gain independence, and you can get more out of each switch you have on-board your wheelchair.

As you might expect from us, the transmitter can be powered directly from the chair, or from a battery.
